Reflect on the Sermon Series, "The Pride of Life":

Our recent sermon series, The Pride of Life, was a powerful reminder of the dangers of misplaced priorities and the call to live a life pleasing to God. Anchored in 1 John 2:15-16, which warns us not to love the world or the things in it, we explored how the pride of life can hinder our worship and relationship with the Lord.

“Do not love the world or the things in the world. If anyone loves the world, the love of the Father is not in him. For all that is in the world—the lust of the flesh, the lust of the eyes, and the pride of life—is not of the Father but is of the world.” (1 John 2:15-16, NKJV)

This series challenged us to examine our hearts and recognize how pride can subtly take root. The pride of life manifests in self-centered ambitions, materialism, and a desire for recognition, all of which stand in opposition to true worship. We learned that you cannot worship God fully while holding onto the pride of life, as pride seeks to glorify self rather than the Creator.

One of the most transformative truths shared was the reminder that, through the grace of God and the power of the Holy Spirit, you can live without sin. God calls us to holiness and equips us to resist worldly temptations when we surrender to Him.

For those who missed these messages, we encourage you to go back and watch the replays. They are a treasure of insights and practical wisdom to help you grow in faith and walk in obedience. Let us strive daily to lay down our pride and worship the Lord with humility and sincerity.

Stay tuned for more teachings that will challenge, inspire, and equip you to live a life that glorifies God!
