Reflect on God's gift and using it for His Purpose:
This January, our sermon series, Done on Purpose, encouraged us to embrace intentionality in all areas of life, reflecting God’s purpose in our actions. With a few key scriptures including Genesis 6:13-22, Colossians 3:23, and 1 Corinthians 3:10-15, we learned how to live with purpose, build with precision, and work for eternal impact.
“Whatever you do, do your work heartily, as for the Lord rather than for men.” (Colossians 3:23, NASB1995)
We examined the life of Noah, who followed God’s exact instructions to build the ark, as described in Genesis 6:13-22. Noah’s obedience and attention to detail were rooted in faith and a desire to honor God. His work was not random but done on purpose, serving as a model for how we should approach the assignments God gives us.
In 1 Corinthians 3:10-15, we were reminded that the foundation of all we build must be Christ, and our efforts will one day be tested by fire. This passage challenged us to evaluate whether our work is being done with eternal value in mind or if we’re building with perishable materials.
By aligning our actions with His purpose, we can ensure that our efforts are meaningful and pleasing to Him.
If you missed any messages, be sure to watch the replays on Youtube. Each teaching offers valuable insights into how to live a life done on purpose, reflecting God’s will and bringing Him glory.
Let’s commit to building wisely, working heartily, and living purposefully in 2025!
